kirei had not wanted to come to this party, and that was a shame. he, however, had left his anti-social master for the night and had come to cause some general chaos. or, perhaps, not too
much chaos, seeing as how the person that was hosting this event was someone he…well, gilgamesh supposed he could use the term 'liked', though that was very human and gilgamesh and anything human never really went hand in hand. regardless, parties happened to be something that he greatly missed from being a king and fitzgerald seemed to have similar aesthetic interests as himself. as he was so noted to be the golden king gilgamesh, he appreciated seeing said color consistently and he knew he could always get that appeal from the man that loved flaunting his wealth. he could appreciate that as well. gil was always pretty at home surrounded by people and he was getting a sufficient amount of attention, which was only natural. he would have preferred to drag kirei along, to see him get annoyed by all the attention he was attracting because he got a sick satisfaction out of it. jealousy was an emotion that gil didn't really know how to process in himself, had never been jealous of anyone in his entire life, but it was a very obvious emotion to find in other people. kirei had no reason to be, well, perhaps he did, seeing as how gilgamesh had not always been the most loyal companion. then again, they hadn't actually expressed that notion, still hadn't, but seeing as how kirei was a constant source of mana for him now, better than the mana he got with anyone else prior, there was no need to go to anyone else. unless he was doing something devious, then maybe. that being said, he could do anything he wanted here, though he would try not to cause too much of a scene if he could help it.
smoothing down his suit, and drink in hand, gil excused himself from the ridiculous chatter around him. not everyone here was human, which was a comfort, but they were all so far beneath him that listening to the trials and tribulations of such insignificant creatures was no longer appealing. to clear his head and reset his ability to function properly around other people, he wandered out and into the chill of the snowy night air. he came from a place that was warm almost all the time, save for the nights in the desert that could chill a man to his core. for the most part, however, he'd gotten relatively used to the weather in a land different from his own, as spending ten years in an actual human body again had given him time to adjust. he didn't prefer the cold, not by a long shot, but inside was warm and almost a little bit too restrictive. once outside he loosened his tie a little bit, carefully brushed a hand over his hair which he'd lightly swept to one side. he was not the first person to be outside, and the last woman left in a little bit of a hurry, as though scared away by someone else. it took him a moment to notice her, so caught up in himself as he always was, but she'd noticed him rather quickly. downing the rest of his drink, he set the flute down on the banister and responded in kind. "and i thought i smelled something slutty," he chirped back, tilting his head to peer at her, grinning himself, though far more wolfishly. it wasn't often that the king didn't know what to think of someone and rize was a bit of an enigma. curious, for her species was strange to him, and he didn't quite understand how humans could make any sort of decent meal, but to each their own. "are you hunting tonight or simply here for the social interaction? i didn't quite peg you as someone that would want to come to a party this large."
