She hadn't felt this clueless about anything for a long time. It was clear that there was more to this trip than her boss was letting on, and Winter struggled to figure out his ulterior motive at the outset. However, on the surface, everything seemed harmless enough. Munakata didn't seem to be up to anything too much
out of the ordinary. So she didn't pry. All the representative guardian knew was that she was being given time off to go on a spa trip in Cascata. Another representative guardian from Halcyon was accompanying her, and it was a woman no less. For the first time since arriving in Elysion, Winter had yet to meet another woman in her position. It would be lovely to ask her what her experiences have been like, how she handled her duties and juggled them with a personal life, etc..
As she gathered her luggage up and stepped out into the bright Cascata sunlight, it felt a little off that she was doing something quite unrelated work today. But perhaps that was fine Workaholic. She's heard that term more times than she would've liked, but the white-haired woman had to concede to that point. Lord knows Winter Schnee needed an escape every now and then, to recharge and the like. Honestly, it was a comfortable habit of hers, a way of life so to speak, to throw herself into her work and not rest until it's done. But it's never done and she's used to it by now. Soon enough, their accomodating hotel came into view. The sheer luxuriousness of it all made Winter arch a brow--why did it remind her so much of those cheesy couple's retreat commercials? God, the last time the specialist even thought of dating seemed ages ago.
Her mind is still awash with deep thoughts even after she's checked in and walking up to her room. Back at home, the military was originally a man's field and she was one of the few women in the ranks. Being an attractive young woman and a Schnee at that, Winter got a lot of attention. None that lasted; none that worked out. Yet dating and romance was never something that was a priority for her. She'll never admit it, but as much as she would like to have her own special someone, nothing had ever worked out for her and work would undoubtedly get into the way. So how would she have time for that? She supposed her life in Elysion now was a different story. That isn't to say that her work in Terminus is any lesser than she had before, but everything felt fresh and new. If anything, she'd at least need to make some more friends first.
Before she had a chance to swipe her room key, the door to the room was ajar. The other guardian must have arrived already. Opening the door slowly, her blue eyes peered in and caught sight of the woman's beautiful purple curls. "You must be Camilla," Winter greeted the other with a gentle smile, extending out her hand, "I'm Winter, one of the guardians from Terminus. It's nice to finally meet a fellow woman in this line of work. How do you do?"
