hearing the other speak of japan sent a fire running through the volleyball player's body. he had known nitori was from asia, while the other had uncharacteristically grey hair, his name was quite asian in orgin. so terushima hadn't known just where nitori was from, but to find out the other was from japan, it made him wonder if they might have potentially run into each other had the fates aligned at the right time if the swimmer had ever been in tokyo. "ahh, me neither! i've travelled for volleyball, but always in japan. i hoped that one day i would be able to compete in other countries, but i don't think i can do that anymore. besides, my team was good, but we weren't nearly as good as everyone else, it was just really fun to play with my friends."
so while he had been around different prefectures in japan, he'd never been outside of his home country and that's why he loved exploring elysion. it was so different, so full of new opportunities at every bend, he loved it more than he could likely explain. sure, he knew his reaction to this new world was likely unusual and that every one else would be looking for a way back home, but terushima didn't want to go home. at least not yet anyways.
"yeah i didn't want to go alone either, but so far no one else has been interested, but i thought since you love water so much that a place that's filled with water and ocean life would be something you would enjoy." his smile was equally as bright as the one he was being given, pleased that it seemed nitori was agreeing to go with him. it was always more fun to adventure with someone by your side and nitori seemed like he'd make a great companion. "oh i'll walk with you then until i need to head to my place? company is always better than being alone." he offered, pretty sure that he'd seen nitori head off in the same direction that he lived in and even a few minutes walking together seemed better than a whole walk by himself and he was sure that nitori would agree with him.
a soft 'hmm' escaped his mouth as they started to walk, the cold of winter still reaching him underneath the warmer jacket he'd put on over his clothes. man, sometimes it felt colder than tokyo here, though he supposed it was because of the wynterage that elysion was experiencing. he was curious what nitori was going to ask him as the other started and then stopped talking, wondering what it was that gave the other pause. a date? was that really what he heard the other say? he'd never been asked out before, no one had ever taken his flirting seriously so he hadn't expected anyone, let alone his cute boss, to recognize it and acknowledge it. "i, uh, what? me?" he managed to get out, worried that maybe he had misheard him all along.
though upon hearing nitori immediately rescind the invitation, he was quick to put his hand out, stopping the smaller male from walking any further. he waited until the grey haired male looked up at him, even just for a moment, before he gave nitori a smile. "i'd love to go on a date with aii-chan~" yuuji couldn't stop the grin that rolled across his face with ease. "what about right now?" he asked, before continuing. "like dinner or something?"
