Adrien Agreste lived an enclosed life all the way up to the point he decided to sneak into a public school against his father's wishes in order to live life to its fullest instead of constantly being denied at being able to do anything outside of his home. He is the only child to Gabriel Agreste, and a mother who mysteriously disappeared when he was a child (always first to blame himself for her leaving).
His father, a renown Fashion Designer, had placed him as the main model to his clothing line making Adrien a popular celebrity among the teens. Things turned better when he was granted the Miraculous (at the age 15) that allowed him to become a superhero and finally get the freedom he deserves. He enjoyed helping people and his new companion/partner, Ladybug. As Chat Noir, his true confidence shows through and most people wouldn't believe that Chat and Adrien were the same person given how differently they express themselves. Adrien was truly wearing a mask back in his old life which resulted him not reaching his full potential in society.
His confidence as Chat Noir has leaked out into his non-hero persona over the 2 years of being in Elysion. He's had the help of a family completely different from one back home allowing him to continue school and support him every step of the way. Although he worries about events going on back home and the people he's left behind, Adrien knows that he can't succeed in doing anything if he doesn't take care of himself first and find a solution after he has found himself.
This cinnamon roll needs all the friends :|.
Adrien doesn't make these that often although he constantly tries in his own awkward way. What else could a person expect from a kid who has been home-schooled his entire life? The only example of friendship he's ever known was with Chloe, the mayor's daughter who always felt she was better than everyone...She wasn't the best of examples for someone so out-of-loop with how to act at social functions. He's a really nice kid, and shows kindness and friendly attitude whenever he meets new faces, if you focus on the way his smile can light up the world, you'll get somewhere with him. Raised in a high-society, Adrien will have proper manners towards everyone he meets, but being his own person, he tries not to judge others for he knows how it feels. Once you really get to be his friend the manners typically fly out the window in sort and you get to see a kid who is competitive and outgoing.
Everything he has learned before coming to Elysion he has put to good use in the two years he's lived here. Adrien has been able to overcome most of his shy-awkwardness which allowed him to make friends more and even gain a small group of those he watches over from bullies.
Adrien has a strong sense of what is right and what is not. It is often what leads him into deeming a person as un-trustful or trustful. This is how he figures out if it is someone that Chat Noir needs to handle and since there are no Akumas (dark butterflies that possess people into doing harmful things to those around them), he focuses on the general bad guys that litter the Capitol in hopes of keeping those safe.
Not bad action, no matter how small, gets missed by the green-eyed superhero. Adrien will not hesitate to stand up for what is right and call a person out on whatever action even if the odds are against him. He's seen first hand what consequences from bullies have on innocent individuals and he is not a fan of it. Having the alternate persona of a superhero, he typically gets himself in a lot of tough situations that earns him quite a number of enemies for someone his age. He isn't a fan of any sort of possession abilities or those that endanger innocents.
Look, the word that typically follows right after "Love" would be "Ladybug". Ever since the beginning of seeing her in her prime he had declared his love for his masked partner even without knowing her true identity. She has captured his attention in more than one way and even outside of the persona of Chat Noir, he still has his heart set on his fair Lady.
From an outsider's perspective one might believe that Adrien is too naive to know much about relationships, or might even not be interested in such things but when he has his heart set on something it sticks. He is very much aware of the girls (and sometimes guys) that would fawn over him due to his modeling career. Even before coming across Ladybug, he wasn't really interested in their attempts to get to know him because he felt that they just wanted him for his career and he may be naive in a lot of things...but manipulation wasn't one of them. He is a kind-hearted fellow and isn't up for dating. <3
